Accommodations

For the safety of our visitors and staff, and consistent with CDC guidance, The Children's Museum of Cleveland is enforcing the safety policy of mutual wearing of masks that cover the nose and mouth for all staff and guests ages 3 and up.

CMC understands that some adults and children cannot tolerate wearing a mask. With guidance from the agency responsible for enforcing the ADA, local health experts, and Sensory & Autism professionals, CMC is offering the following reasonable accommodations for guests who cannot visit the Museum due to the mask policy.

Reasonable Accommodations

  • Virtual Programs: CMC has over 150 virtual programs available on our website. View our collection here.

  • Take-Away Activity Kits:  CMC offers free take-home activity kits for families who are staying at home during the pandemic. Kits can be picked up at the Museum during our business hours. If you enter the Museum to pick up your kits, you must be wearing a face mask that covers your nose and mouth. If you are unable to wear a face mask, please call the front desk at 216.791.7114 and a member of our staff can bring them out to you! Limit 3 kits per visit.

Additional Accommodations

  • Mask Intolerant Hours: This time is designated for families with children who have sensory sensitivities or a health related reason that does not allow them to tolerate wearing a mask. Guests in your party that can tolerate mask wearing are asked to wear a mask during this time. The following exhibits will be open during these hours: Adventure City, Wonder Lab, Theater, Playlist, Meadow. The next event is: TBA
Please note that per our safety policy, the designated Mask Intolerant hours are the only time guests over the age of 2 will be permitted in the Museum without a mask. There are no exceptions to the mask policy during standard operating hours.
