CMC Collaborates with Brooklyn City Schools Preschool; District Wins National Award
The Children’s Museum of Cleveland is proud to be a community partner with the Brooklyn City School District as the district makes significant progress in improving family, school and community partnerships. Congratulations on your award-winning work!
Read the Cleveland.com article regarding the preschool programming developed by this school district. The Children’s Museum of Cleveland staff developed one of its children’s outreach programs, “Pollock with Papas” that was successfully implemented in its preschools. The Children’s Museum of Cleveland staff read a story about artist Jackson Pollack and introduced his artwork to children. Students were then able to make their own creations in Pollack’s style with various mediums including string, as well as clay and wire sculptures.
